I’ve always wanted to see Jim Carey act in a non-comedy movie People always knew Jim by his marvelous comedies, which made me laugh so many times. But not everybody thought Jim was a laugh making machine. After all, what is the use of an actor if he only does comedies? As far as I am concerned, Stallone and schwarzenegger have always made part in action movies. That’s not bad. I’ve always loved movies with them since I was a kid. Now, Jim impressed me with “The Truman show”, which made quite a feel people get disappointed. It was NOT a comedy movie, it was a drama and it went pretty fine. So, I started to really enjoy his movies concerning the drama genre, but I wasn’t expecting this.
It’s been quite a while since the first time I watched this movie. “The Number 23″. A psychological paranoia inducing thriller which talks about a man who, after reading a book from an anonymous writer, stars to see the number 23 everywhere. As said in the Wikipedia website: the 23 enigma refers to the belief that most incidents and events are directly connected to the number 23.
I didn’t quite buy it at first, but if you take a close look at it, the facts are unrefusable. If you believe it or not, it doesn’t really matter. It could be a hell of a coincidence, or if you prefer, fate. Jim Carey’s character gets crazy as he reads each chapter till a moment where he believes the number 23 is everywhere and he can’t escape it. It’s a movie that it’s worth a try. I’ll close this post by giving some examples of the 23 enigma.
